This baby boy was in that “in between” age when he isn’t a newborn anymore but also isn’t a big 1 year old birthday boy yet either. I call this the “sitter milestone” and it is actually my absolute favorite age to photograph at my Sylvania Ohio photography studio (aside from newborns…newborn will forever have my heart). A lot of clients tend to skip this stage and I feel like that is such a shame! Don’t skip the 6-9 month milestone! At this age, they are happy, chubby little balls of sunshine and smiles - plus, they aren’t usually mobile yet! It’s just so much easier to get adorable pictures when your sweet baby just sits there and grins, grabs their toes, and gives me all the baby laughs…it gets really interesting once we’re chasing your little one around, PHEW!

It’s the busiest time of year for us photographers - it can be difficult finding the time to sit down & edit when your days are spent shooting more sessions than usual! It didn’t help that I was out of town almost all of last week…plus, trying to get my holiday sets designed & photographed between it all (booking opens on Sunday - info to come, hang tight!). If you’re waiting on a gallery, I promise it’s coming ASAP!

Despite the craziness this time of year brings, I’m beyond grateful to be busy! It’s especially awesome when clients return year and after year…like this little cutie! I photographed her big sisters newborn photos and I was so honored to get to photograph their new addition! Isn’t she scrumptious??

I am often asked when is the best time to schedule and book a Toledo Ohio newborn photography session? I recommend booking your session while still in the 2nd trimester. Due to the time required for newborn photoshoots, I am only able to accept a limited number of due dates each month. Since baby isn’t likely to arrive exactly on their due date, I hold space on my calendar for around that time. Once your baby has made their arrival, I just ask that you send me a message when you’re all home and we will then set a date & time for the session at my Sylvania Ohio photography studio. I photograph newborn photo sessions when your baby is between 5-21 days old - this is when they are still in that sleepy, squishy, curled up stage. It goes by in the blink of an eye, so I want to photograph this short phase for you to always remember!

I am currently booking due dates through February 2024!

One of the most common questions I get about Toledo Ohio Maternity Photoshoots, is when is the best time to schedule them? I suggest maternity photography sessions take place when you are approximately 27-35 weeks pregnant. This is typically when you have a nice, round belly and you are still feeling pretty good. That last month of pregnancy can be really tough! Swelling can set in and you may not be feeling great, either. You also don’t want to schedule them too early—we want to show off that baby bump!

I have a few maternity dresses available for use in my client closet. I also send out a list of recommendations of where to shop for your own dress - I am here to help you the whole way! I love helping my clients plan their Toledo Ohio Maternity Photo Sessions!
